Golf Time! It’s time to begin thinking about our 2010 golf season!

To start off the year we will have an Organizational Coffee and Rules Clinic in the Grill Room on Tuesday, February 16, at 9:30. Please RSVP to Ginny Tussey (email and phone number below) by Wednesday, February 10, to ensure that we have enough coffee and refreshments for everyone. Wrap up – 2009

In the NC Mid-Am at Pinebrook in Asheboro, John Sandifer finished in the top-30 at T-22 with a score of 220, which qualifies him for next year’s event. John Nieters shot 224 and finished at T-36. Mark Nieters also qualified but missed the cut for the final rounds.

In the Carolinas Senior at Palmetto in Aiken, Hugh Quinn played the first two rounds, but unfortunately missed the cut.

At the CGA Four-Ball at Sedgefield on September 28th, Eddie James teamed up with a non-TGA member, Jeff Wilkerson, to finish T-2 Net with a 64. Greg Howard and John Sandifer finished T-10 Net with a 68 to also finish in the money.

At the CGA One-Day at Bermuda Run West on October 10th, Bill Goodson took 1st place Gross in the Senior Flight with a 71 to earn a trip to Pinehurst later this fall. Tom Thorpe finished 2nd Net with a 71 and Jim Gress finished 3rd Net with a 73. This gave TGA members three out of the possible four placings to earn a Gift Certificate.
Also as a result of a finish at Bermuda Run, Jim Williams will have to change his tag line on his email (“I play Net because my game is Gross”) because he shot 77 to finish 1st Gross in Men’s B Flight. Jim has also earned his way to Pinehurst later this fall. Good going guys!
