Friday night’s social was well attended and the food from Mrs. Pumpkins was delicious. So were the liquid refreshments then as well as throughout the weekend. Many thanks to Hayes Smith for handling these responsibilities and to everyone who lent a hand filling and moving coolers throughout the weekend! And thanks to Matt Bostic for the specialty and craft beers from his store, Stella Brew, on Hawthorne in W-S.
Here’s a few highlights from the scoring: 1) Ray Brewer shot his best career round on Championship with an 80; Matt Bostic had the low individual round on Sunday with a 72; Kenny Davis, Scott Wearn and Sam Uberseder had the low individual rounds on Saturday with even par 72s.
And much gratitude to all who helped with scoring on Saturday and Sunday, namely Brian Sainz, Terry Payne, and Jim Williams. And special kudos to Terry for running the Blind Draw. Our Treasurer, Joe Brooks, handled all the money and got everyone paid!
If you are listed as winning 1st or 2nd place and won a Gift Card but did not pick it up, just ask a TGA Officer (Jim, Brian S, Hayes, Joe, and Hugh) and we’ll get it for you. If you won $$ but did not pick it up, it’s also available via an Officer. Those who won $$ but did not pick up include Nason, Larmour, Brown, Wessels, Marovich and Cox.
Special thanks to Gene Cox for serving as a marker both days when his partner, Chip Baker, suffered an injury before the event and could not play.
Next up is the June Tournament – Five Club Memorial. It’s scheduled for Saturday, June 22 with morning tee times on the Reynolds Course. This tournament honors the many members of the TGA who have passed away over the years. More details soon.
Remember, don’t post your individual score – for all TGA events with postable rounds, the TGA will post these scores.
