2019 Five-Club Memorial

The Five Club Memorial Tournament proved once again that five clubs may be all we need to play this crazy game! At least for those guys who won their flight!

Speaking of which, here are the winners and the clubs they used:

Flight A-Sr A:
Greg Howard shot 73 gross to take first place. His clubs were 3W, 6, 8, Gap and Putter.

Brian Sainz shot 70 net to take first place. His clubs were D, 5H, 7, Gap and Putter.

Flight B:
Charlie Fisher shot 79 gross to take first place. His clubs were 3W, 4H, 6, PW and Putter.

Jim Williams shot 72 net to take first place. His clubs were 3W, 5, 8, PW and Putter.

Flight Sr B:
Mark Harper Sr. shot 79 gross to take first place. His clubs were 3W, 6, 8, Gap and Putter.

Mark DeBusk shot 65 net to take first place.

Flight Super Sr:
Tom Birrittieri shot 77 gross to take first place. His clubs were D, 4, 8, Gap and Putter.

Paul Meyer shot 67 net to take first place. His clubs were D, 4H, 7, PW and Putter.

Maybe some of this information will help those of us who didn’t win select better clubs next year! (Or better swings!)

One player, Dave Edenfield, opted not to use a putter. Interesting!

Contest Winners were David Phillips for greenie on #3, Larry Fine for CTP on 8, Larry Wise for CTP on #12 and Brian Sainz for greenie on #17.

The weather was great as were the greens. Thanks to Jim and Brian for handling the scoring!
