On Sunday, June 27th, our Regular Inter-club team traveled across the river to visit Oak Valley.
The course was in truly in excellent condition. The fairways were lush; the rough was deep, and the greens (no lie) were firm and (fairly) fast.
Plus, it was setup to play the full 6600 yard blue tees!
It was a great test of golf and three our our pairings passed with flying colors!!
Tanglewood was able to squeak out a hard fought 40.5-39.5 victory, with some great playing across the board.
The first two teams of Kenny Flynn/Patrick Hynes, and Mark Harper Jr./Eli Kennedy set the tone early by winning the first two matches.
The third team of Stevie Blankenship/Brian Sainz got their asses handed to them.
However, the final team of Josh Dalton/Charlie Fisher came back to halve their match and provide Tanglewood just enough points for the victory.
Tanglewood’s Regular Inter-club team has come back from an 0-2 start and evened it’s record at 2-2.
With two more matches, Tanglewood needs one more victory to begin another playoff run!
