If you are interested in playing golf, having fun and testing your skills against others who share the same passion for the game as you do, we believe the TGA has lots to offer. The TGA provides:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 tournaments per year (February through November) &#8211; flighted based on your age and handicap<\/li>\n<li>Gift Certificates awarded to the top finishers (gross and net) in each flight<\/li>\n<li>Handicap tracking is included with your regular membership through the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)<\/li>\n<li>Summer League play \u2013 held on Wednesday evenings beginning in mid to late March and continuing through early September<\/li>\n<li>Gross and Net Match Play tournaments (optional, and separate entry fees)<\/li>\n<li>Year end Points tournament based on points earned throughout the year in monthly events<\/li>\n<li>Eligible to represent Tanglewood in the Carolina Golf Association (CGA) Interclub team matches against other local courses\/clubs<\/li>\n<li>Eligible to participate in CGA tournament events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a name=\"Tournament_Flighting\"><\/a><strong>Tournament Flighting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For most individual tournaments, the field will be divided into (up to) six divisions based on age and handicap index.\u00a0 An example breakdown is below. Players may choose to compete in any division in which they are eligible.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Men A: 7.9 index or less (all ages)<\/li>\n<li>Men B: 8.0 index or higher (all ages)<\/li>\n<li>Senior Men A: 7.9 index or less (age 55+)<\/li>\n<li>Senior Men B: 8.0 index or higher (age 55+)<\/li>\n<li>Super Senior Men A: 7.9 index or less (age 65+)<\/li>\n<li>Super Senior Men B: 8.0 index or higher (age 65+)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a name=\"Opening_Dinner\"><\/a><strong>Opening Dinner:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our opening dinner and annual meeting is scheduled for Tuesday,\u00a0 February 10th, 2026 at Walnut Hall.\u00a0\u00a0 If there is a change in plans, we will send out an email with further instructions.<\/p>\n<p>Our 2026 opening <strong>tournament<\/strong>, Easy Day, is scheduled for <strong>February 28nd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Our full 2026 schedule is finalized (but subject to change), and is available on our <a href=\"https:\/\/tanglewood36.com\/?page_id=8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tournament Calendar<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"Membership_Levels\"><\/a><strong>Membership Levels (TGA):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The TGA offers three levels of membership:<br \/>\n<strong> Full Member<\/strong> \u2013 cost is <strong>$135<\/strong> for the year. This covers entry into all 10 tournaments with no entry fees (but you are responsible for your own green\/cart fees if you are not a <a href=\"http:\/\/golf.tanglewoodpark.org\/memberships.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tanglewood Park Golf Member<\/a>)!!<br \/>\n<strong> Handicap Only Member<\/strong> &#8211; $50. This fee includes handicap maintenance. A separate fee of $25 for one day tournaments is required if you wish to participate in a monthly event.<\/p>\n<p>Handicap only members may <strong>NOT<\/strong> participate in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interclub<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday night league<\/li>\n<li>Member\/Member tournament<\/li>\n<li>The Club Championship(s)<\/li>\n<li>Hatfield\/McCoy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They may participate in the Member\/Guest as a guest.\u00a0 <span style=\"font-size: revert;\">See Membership features above for other benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong> Junior Member<\/strong> &#8211; $20. The fee includes handicap maintenance. Available for individuals who are still in high school and 18 years old or younger.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"Membership_For_Tanglewood\"><\/a><strong>Membership for Tanglewood Park golf:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While not affiliated with the Men&#8217;s Association, Tanglewood park offers several different golf membership options, as well.
