Hatfield’s had a 16 point lead after the first day. McCoy’s were looking to make a comeback in day 2 on the Championship Course and try to get the trophy back but could not over come the dominate play by the Hatfield’s. The Hatfields won the second day with 63 points to the McCoy’s 39 which put the 2 day total a whopping 122-82 finish.

Hatfield’s win again!! Jim Williams and Charlie Fisher did a great job with the captaincy once again, but we didn’t expect anything different. They are usually rivals but come together nicely for this event! Mark Hartson and Joe Crocker tried their best to put together strong teams but the other side was just too strong! With the exception of myself, I may need to join Daniel Byrd’s beginner golf lessons.

Weather was absolutely perfect, cool in the mornings and warming up to 70 degrees by end of the rounds.

The Red Barn after Sunday’s round was a nice change, the food was excellent(especially the steaks). Beer was cold, and the fellowship was fun.

Thanks to Steve Livingston for all the hard work in preparing the meal, and keeping us hydrated. A lot of work goes into this event from the 2nd VP, so if you see him around make sure you thank him.

Also would like to thank both captains on the hard work they put in as well.

I will be posting scores today or tomorrow so no need to do that yourselves.

GO HATFIELDS!!

from Mark Harper Jr., 1st VP Well this years Hatfield Vs McCoys is in the books.
