{"id":4566,"date":"2023-02-27T09:37:17","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T14:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tanglewood36.com:\/wordpress\/?p=4566"},"modified":"2023-02-27T09:37:18","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T14:37:18","slug":"2023-easy-day-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tanglewood36.com\/?p=4566","title":{"rendered":"2023 Easy Day Results"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>from Mark Robson, 1st VP<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TGA Golfers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first tournament of the year is in the books and a great way to start the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Easy Day format with Red Tees, Throws and Mulligans is an ego booster and a lot of fun.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Red tees are easy, but not that easy: only 11 out of 45 players scored in the 60\u2019s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seniors Rule \u2013 all golfers in the Senior A and Super Senior A flights scored in the 60\u2019s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Throws and Mulligans: Not as easy as you might think: some guys throw the ball in the hole, and some guys throw the ball in the water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Never trust the weather forecast. We had a couple of sprinkles yesterday, but all in all the weather was fine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Reynolds Course greens don\u2019t get enough credit. They were smooth, medium-fast, and putted very nicely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The full Easy Day Results are available <a href=\"https:\/\/tanglewood36.com\/2023\/Tournaments\/2023_Easy_Day_Results.xlsx\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/tanglewood36.com\/2023\/Tournaments\/2023_Easy_Day_Results.xlsx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>, but some highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Todd Brown \u2013 Gross 64 for a Senior (no pars until the 12th hole)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terry Payne \u2013 Gross 65<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hugh Quinn &#8211; Gross 67 for a SUPER Senior<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ron Hefner \u2013 Net 61<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dave Depietropaolo &#8211; Net 63<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Closest to the Pin winners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>#3: John Kennedy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>#8: Jonathan Kiser<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>#12 Todd Brown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>#17 John Kennedy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Things get a little more serious (but not too serious) with our next tournament:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KISS (Keep It Simple Sandbaggers) Tournament Saturday, March 18 Championship Course Postable Round, Flighted Tournament<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, please thank our tournament volunteers when you see them. The TGA would not be as fun or successful as it is without volunteers.
