Getting to write your name on the proximity marker and planting the marker at your spot is one of the more satisfying personal events in golf. Even if you know it won’t stand-up, it’s still good. We had 50 names on the markers, so the markers were moved a total of 50 times. Then there’s the anticipation at the scoring table to see if your shot held up. I don’t think Michael had a lot of concern on #9; he might have on #18. Michael is our Par 3 Top Dog for 2026. We give Michael an attaboy and 👍🙂🙂 for his efforts, I’m covering my end with a thumbs-up and a couple of smiley face emoji’s. Michael pocketed a cool $28, which makes a net of $23.

If Michael can’t fulfill the duties of the Par 3 Top Dog, Glenn Hurst, who didn’t have anything taken away from him this time, would step into his role. Glenn won #4 and #10. Or Jonathan Kiser will step in having won #2 and #8. OR Greg Howard will step in having won #1 and # 14. Nice shooting guys!
