TGA Golfers,

The second tournament of the year is in the books and oh what a day it was.

Highlights:

Challenging tournament due to a somewhat soggy course and cold, windy (at times, extremely) conditions.

But some guys can play no matter what:
John Kennedy (73, low round of the tournament)
Terry Payne (75/68)
Stevie Blankenship (77/70)
Kenny Davis (77/69)
Jim Williams (83/70)
Glenn Levine and Mark Harper Sr. (75/69)
Del Long (82/67)
Steve Livingston (85/66)
Gene Cox (80/70).

This was a 5-hour round. Even the lure of meeting Amanda Balionis (did you pay attention to the scorecard?) wasn’t enough to speed up the pace of play.

Back-to-back eagles: Tom Long eagled #15 from the fairway bunker. Steve Livingston, playing in the very next group, followed up with his own eagle on 15.

TGA Tournament of Champions: New qualifiers include: John Kennedy; Terry Payne; Andy Packard; Jim Williams; Mark Harper Sr.; Glenn Levine; Del Long; Steve Livingston; Scott Wearn; Eddie James; Gene Cox; Dave Edenfield

Closest To the Pin (CTP) Winners (Payout, $45 each)

# 3: Hugh Quinn
# 7: Glenn Levine
# 11: John Kennedy (Par 3 specialist)
# 17: Fred Uberseder

Start making plans for our next tournament:

Irish Rumble
Saturday, April 22
Championship Course
Postable Round, Teams of 4 players (A, B, C, and D)

Starts out low key but pressure builds as the round progresses and finally the 18th hole can leave some guys crying and deeply ashamed and turns others into heroes. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

Finally, please thank our tournament volunteers when you see them. The TGA would not be as fun or successful as it is without volunteers. Also, please think about volunteering.
