On June 11th, the TGA Super Senior Interclub Team played Bermuda Run West on the Championship Course today and came away with a big W!

In the first match, the team of Todd Brown and Del Long shot lights out on the front with a 6 under par net 29 thanks to Del shooting 34 gross along with Todd’s 34. But that only staked us to a 1 up lead after nine. They were relentless all day and emerged with a 3 up win. The team shot a net 60 for the round and Todd had 66 and Del had 74 gross.

In the second match, Gene Cox and Rick Kearns gave up 1 handicap shot to their opponents for the round. We were 1 up after nine and extended it to 3 up midway through the back nine with very solid play before finishing with a 2 up win. They shot a gross 75 for the round with Gene shooting 79 and Rick had 81.

In the third match, Donnie Holt and Mark Hartson emerged with a 1 up lead after nine. But that wasn’t enough so they got it going to win 4 more holes including the last three holes on the back to win 5 up. They shot a net 68. Mark had 76 and Donnie shot 77.

In the fourth match, Rob Heflin and Ray Brewer got off to a hot front nine and were 4 up after nine holes. They pushed it to 6 up before their opponents won three in a row. But our guys won another hole and finished 4 up for the round. They shot a net 75. Rob shot 83 and Ray had 87.

We had strong performances from each of our teams in the match which propelled us to a 51 – 29 victory. This puts our season record to 3 & 1 with our next match being at Bermuda Run East on June 18.
